Surgical Services is compromised of an Operating Room, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Same Day Surgery (SDS), Central Sterile, and Anesthesia. Our department performs over 4,000 surgeries per year in our JACHO accredited six room surgical suites. Specialties include Orthopedics, Ears, Nose and Throat, General, Vascular, Podiatry, Opthamology, Gynocology and Urology. We also have a Pain Management Clinic, which operates two days a week.

One Operating Room Suite is dedicated to Cardiac Catherization and another to Endoscopy. Polices and procedures are based on AORN, ASPN, ECRI and AAMI standards. Equipment and procedures are continually updated to reflect current trends in patient care.

Recent renovations have included expanded Operating Room, Post Anesthesia Care Unit and Same Day Surgery Rooms to accommodate the increase in our out patient surgical population. The Operating Room increased from three to six Operating Suites, Post Anesthesia Care Unit from a five bed to a seven bed capacity and Same Day Surgery from a eight bed to a ten bed capacity. Our professionals are board certified and specialty certified individuals who have a friendly, caring and positive attitude and they are committed to serving the community.

Because of our small rural community setting, members of our team are close knit and have the opportunity to be involved in all surgical specialties. Staffing is a flexible extended day shift and is responsive to the needs of our surgeons and patients. The remainder of the hours are covered by call time. Opportunities are available for inservice education, professional growth and learning new skills.
