Lab Features

• Full service laboratory
  Berwick hospital center features a full service laboratory with on-site blood bank and histology department. The laboratory also contracts with an area reference laboratory to provide a complete test menu.
  
  
• 24 hour/ 7 day coverage
  The laboratory is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to provide around the clock care for both our inpatients and outpatients
  
  
• CAP and JCAHO accredited
  The College Of American Pathologist (CAP) accredits our laboratory. We are one of only a few area hospitals to hold this accreditation. This accreditation means that we are held to the highest quality and safety standards, and assures that the results we produce are accurate.

  The laboratory staff is friendly and courteous. Many have twenty or more years of experience providing quality healthcare to the community.
  

Lab services

• Outpatient draw site in hospital
  Monday - Friday 7 am - 7 pm, Saturday 7 am - 11:30 am
  The Laboratory appreciates that time is a precious commodity and, we are dedicated to provide rapid walk-through service to our outpatients.
  
  
• Courier service available for specimen transport
  For those area doctors who choose to draw specimens in their office, Berwick laboratory will provide courier service to pick up specimens and drop off supplies.
  
  
• Auto-Fax capability to area doctors
  The lab's advanced computer system allows us to automatically fax patient results to the doctor immediately upon completion of testing. This significantly shortens the amount of time patient need wait to obtain results.
  
  
• Industrial Services (Drug Testing)
