Carolyn S. Diehl, MSN, RN, Chief Nursing Officer
Ms. Diehl became Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in 2009. She has a Master of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University, Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bloomsburg University, and RN Diploma from Geisinger Medical Center School of Nursing. Ms. Diehl brings 35 years of nursing experience with 17 years of nursing leadership/management experience.
She brings extensive leadership experience in community health, especially in the areas of Home Health and Hospice programs. Ms. Diehl served as Berwick Hospital Center’s Director of Home Health and Hospice Services program from 2003-2007. She also held other positions at Berwick Hospital Center including Director of Occupational Medicine and Employee Health, Director of Outpatient Services, and most recently, the Interim Chief Nursing Officer.
Ms. Diehl’s community activities include completing nine short-term medical missions’ trips to Haiti, Belize and Honduras. She serves as Treasurer of Servant Outreach, an interdenominational missions organization. Ms. Diehl has two married children, Krista Heim, a speech pathologist residing in Chester Springs, PA, and Ryan Hippenstiel, a survey engineer, living in State College, PA.
